LYGHTBOX Documentation
LYGHTBOX helps you manage your photography business from first inquiry to final delivery. Keep client details, bookings, payments, and follow-ups together.
Add the services you sell, then set up contracts and payments when you need them. Projects already have steps for booking, editing, and delivery.
Start with the guide for the job in front of you. You do not need to read them in order.
Choose your path
If you are setting up a new account, begin with Getting started. Set up your first service, prepare your contracts and payments, and try a project from inquiry to delivery.
If you already have client work in progress, use these common paths:
- A client emailed or called you: use the + menu in the top bar to choose Add New Contact, then Add New Project.
- A client submitted an inquiry form: open the new project in Projects and continue the conversation there.
- Clients should choose their own time: create a booking page in Booking Pages and share it with them.
- The shoot is booked: follow the project’s Progress checklist. Each open step shows what to do next, such as Create contract or Create invoice.
- Your photos are ready: create a gallery, upload your photos, and review its sharing settings before publishing.
- You need to know what is slipping: check Dashboard for work that needs attention, then open Fulfillment for delivery work or Tasks for general to-dos.
How the main records fit together
- A Contact is a person. Their details, sources, tags, audiences, projects, bookings, and paid history stay on one record.
- A Project is one client job. It follows the work from inquiry to booked, through contracts and payment, into editing and delivery.
- A Booking Page lets clients choose a package or session time and complete their booking online.
- Fulfillment brings together projects and mini-session bookings that are ready for editing and delivery. Track progress, delivery dates, galleries, and client messages in one place.
- A Gallery holds the photos you deliver. Organize them into scenes, choose who can view and download them, and share the published gallery with clients.
- A Task is a general to-do, such as ordering supplies, tracking blog write-ups, or preparing a shoot. Tasks can be linked to a project or booking.
Use projects for work you book yourself and booking pages when clients should book online.
Find your way around
The main sidebar contains Dashboard, Projects, Contacts, Booking Pages, Fulfillment, Galleries, Tasks, Campaigns, Pulse, and Settings. The pages you see depend on your team access.
Use the search bar at the top to find a project, contact, booking page, or task without first opening its section. The + menu beside it is the quickest way to add a project, contact, or task.
Open Settings to manage services, galleries, forms, templates, reminders, contracts, payments, task boards, calendar connections, and team access.

Before you share a client link
Create at least one service first. A service is required for manual projects and public inquiry forms, and it keeps your reporting organized later.
Also check your time zone, default tax rate, contract template, payment connection, and the exact public page you plan to send. Each project keeps the tax rate it was created with, so set the default before adding projects. Your account currency was chosen when the account was created and cannot be changed.
